Songs written around day 40 to 60 of the 365 song challenge...(2017-18, on YouTube). Held onto dearly, out of love. Finally releasing.

I had great dreams for this album, big big dreams, to edit and orchestrate and refine and mix and master these songs professionally...

But I can't get my heart behind trauma songs anymore. I see their value, as catharsis, but not their value, as spreading pain (awareness of) instead of joy (celebration of, even tiny wins and minuscule joys). I want to spread my strength now, and kindness, and hold firm boundaries on the kind of pain I’ve continued to attract to me. And instead, begin to attract something new new new.

Do you know what I mean?

I hope so.

But here's a trauma album, one more to come someday perhaps*.

Or perhaps I'll allow my pain to remain unfinished. That would be nice :)

*"Tiny Traumas, adding up (out of body, in your skin) I" - these are out of order, III, then II, then I, because that's the order they were written (IIIs songs were written more recently than IIs, for the most part, and Is are the longest shelved, the oldest songs...) ...but also they're out of order because pain, like evil, moves backwards, with its lies... don't worship your pain, even in therapy or art...it will CONSUME YOU (like it did me).
