I don't know what to say. It's 10pm on March 20th, 2020. There's a pandemic. This album draft was made for myself, to learn this album, to layer parts on top of these songs. I could hang onto it for many months, til I have time to get to it and make it really good.

I could release it today, when $$$ goes 100% to artists on Bandcamp, to help with all the unknowns of life as a musician right now...

I can tell you what this album IS - uplifting, soothing, light, heavy in a peaceful way, dark in a calm way, loving - as loving as I know how to be right now.

I can tell you what this album ISN'T - something to impress you, something polished, something to make you proud of me.

I want to help you, if I can, if you have unresolved feelings and need a peaceful musical friend. I have made songs like this since elementary school, and never found a way to say - to really say - I am good at this, this peace and love thing, and I love helping people feel better. Even when I'm sad or scared or feeling small myself. Above all I like making people smile, knowing I helped in some way, by being myself, by seeking peace. Or BEING peace (if you seek it, seeking isn't peaceful).

So. Um...if you want to listen to this, it's songs from the first month of the 365 Songs in 365 Days...when I felt timid and shy and weird and tried to hide or soften it. But also show and share it.

Okay that's all I guess. I didn't mean to release this...it's a whim right now, but it feels right.

These are raw live one take original songs...someday I could release an enhanced version, with orchestrations, like the Tiny Traumas series...I see it in my mind.

BUT

in the meantime, that must not be what's right...because I've been holding this back for months, not working on it but not letting it go either...and I have too many dreams, and I just started a kids show for adults, and I think my 'strange beginning' is to learn to let something just be unfinished...
